Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Chelsea, London. Locally known as "the Cod", it was first licensed in 1830 as a beer house and rebuilt in 1860 because of railway tunneling between South Kensington and Sloane Square. It is named after the naval officer who captained the 98 gun "Orion" in the Battle of Trafalgar and who later as vice-admiral of the Blue, led the fleet that defeated the Turks in Navarino in 1827.
This is my local when in London, located around the corner from where we always stay.
It has a beautiful rounded bar, classic rounded windows, and a nice little outdoor seating area where I usually alight. My go to beer here is the Butcombe Original, brewed in Bristol. This pub always welcomes me back to London. Cheers!
